Mangere Live Steamers


Centre Park, Robertson Rd, Mangere, South Auckland, Greater Auckland

Head out to Centre Park and check out the Live Steamers.  FREE to view and only a couple of dollars per ride – so affordable and the kids will love it. A variety of fully operational miniature steam, electric and diesel trains to enjoy and ride.

There are two tracks: "Spiral Hill" which features a 20m tunnel and "Prairie Route" which runs approx 1200m around the Centre Park.

These “cheap as chips” Manukau Live Steamer miniature steam railway rides on Sundays (weather permitting) operate from 11am-4pm in Mangere. 

The Manukau Live Steamer trains have been lovingly created and restored by local enthusiasts and their Mangere club allows members of the public to view and ride on Sundays. Check it out.
